7aam Arivu on high demand, release preponed

 The tickets of 7aam Arivu for this week has been completely sold. The massive response from the audience for the forthcoming Tamil movie has made the makers of the film to prepone the movie.


Producer Udhyanidhi Stalin says that a couple of days ago they started advance booking for 7aam Arivu. However, it received an unexpected response, as the tickets were sold within a few hours in most of the theaters. Hence, they thought to release it a day in advance, which means the movie will hit the screens on October 25.

Surya and Shruti Hassan starrer 7aam Arivu is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin on the banner Red Giant Movies.

Velayudham beats 7 aum Arivu!

Both the producers Aascar Ravichandran and Udhayanidhi Stalin are trying with all their might to release their films in as much as screens as possible. Initially, it was 7 Aum Arivu that took a grand opening with advance bookings while Velayudham opened only yesterday.

Guess what? It took couple of days for the tickets for 7 Aum Arivu to be sold but within few hours Velayudham to sell the tickets for next five days.

Aascar Ravichandran has a wide network of influence over the theatres and it looks like Vijay’s father S.A.Chandrasekhar has used additional influence from political side to make sure that his son’s film releases in many theatres.

It turned to be a bigger surprise for everyone as the main screen of Sathyam is screening ‘Velayudham’ while ‘7 Aum Arivu’ is pushed to smaller screens.

Even as the Diwali countdown is still ticking in, Suriya-starrer '7aum Arivu' has set a box-office record!

Immediately after the reservations opened up for '7aum Arivu', all tickets were sold out for a whole week, well, this didn't come as a surprise as the film is one of the two most anticipated films this Diwali along with Vijay's 'Velayudham'. After much compulsion and disappointment shown by Suriya fans, theatre owners and distributors organized for a special show one day prior to the release and it got full within few hours of opening as well.

And now, the theatres have arranged for a special matinee and evening show before the film release and tickets were again sold out within few minutes of the opening!

Looks like its indeed going to be a clash of titans this Diwali at the BO, with both '7aum Arivu' and 'Velayudham' garnering much attention each passing day.

Vijay film's best climax ever for Velayutham

Some distributors who have watched Velayutham is reported to have said that the film's climax is going to be the best. This gives an indication that the film is all set to rock from Diwali.

Earlier Jayam Raja, the director of Velayutham had said that he is taking extra care for the climax and this care has made it one of the best, perhaps. According to sources in the Tamil film industry, Velayutham was shown to a number of distributors and everyone who has seen it could not stop raving about the climax.

It is surely going to be one of the best Vijay film climax ever.

Velayudham will beat RA-ONE & 7AUM-ARIVU - Says Jayam Raja

Jayam Raja while speaking in the press meet organized yesterday said, "I have so far directed six films. Out of which five were remakes. Velayudham is my 7th film. Through this I will be going to the next level in my career.
When Vijay sir met me, he asked me," You make films which have your brother in the lead roles. Will you not make a film for me?" I was not able to say anything when such a big hero asked me like this. That was how Velayudham materialized.

I am very happy now because we had given now what I had thought when I commenced Velayudham. As far as I am concerned I would say that a mass hero films are Enga Veettu Pillai, Basha and Anniyan. Velayudham will also fall in line with these films. The story of those films would have shown the heroes in various dimensions. I have also laced this film with social welfare. Let any number of Ones or Arivus are released, I will definitely say that Velayudham will be number one. There is no doubt in this.

Velayudham has all the commercial ingredients and will be different from my earlier films. There will be violence and glamour in this film. My next film is being produced by Kalpathy S Agoram. Many are asking me that whether I am going to direct Ajith. I have not even met him. But it would be better for me if I work with Ajith sir since I had completed working with Vijay sir. "

Simbu in Imran Khan's role in Delhi Belly Tamil Remake

Sources say that Simbu has been approached to do the lead role enacted by Imran Khan in the original. Also sources add that director Kannan might wield the megaphone.

If Simbu agrees to do the film, it would be three-in-a-row for him. His Vaanam was a remake of Telugu hit Vedam, Osthi is adapted from Hindi hit Dabbang and now Delhi Belly.

Delhi Belly was a kind of revolution in Hindi cinema - the film’s running time is just 90 minutes and without any interval.

‘Velayudham’ 2 crore opening song for Vijay

Vijay’s Diwali release film ‘Velayudham’ has many special features to boast itself. One of those features is its opening song for which a whopping 2 Crore was spent in filming it.


The song was filmed for 10 days continuously and with 200 hundred dancers participating. The song was choreographed by Ashok Raja, a famous and uprising dance director in tinsel town. The excited Ashok Raja, while sharing his experience in working in the film says, “I proud to be part of this Vijay film. It was a difficult song but Vijay, the director and other dancers lent their fullest cooperation to bring out the best from me. I have choreographed for more than 150 songs and the industry fondly calls him ‘the Opening Song Wonder’! Jayam Ravi praises Velayudham to heavens

Jayam Ravi, the younger brother of director Jayam Raja, has given his verdict on the forthcoming film, Velayudham. As expected, the Engeyum Kadhalactor has praised the film to heavens.

He saw Velayudham at a special screening organised by his brother Jayam Raja. After watching the movie, the actor left no stones to make positive impact on the audience about the upcoming Tamil movie.

The actor, who is on Twitter, wrote, “Just watchedVelayudham. Hat’s off to Vijay Anna. His best performance till date. Superb performance by Genelia! Very strong character! Hansika very cute and has amazing comic timing. Vijay Antony’s songs and re-recording are a major boost for the movie. My personal favourite is Chillaxxxxxx.”

Is Velayutham remake of Telugu movie Azad? Director Jeyam Raja answers.!!

Velayudham is a fantasy film that would break all barriers and do well, says director Jayam Raja. Addressing media persons, he said, ' Vijay is a real mass hero, who has a strong screen presence. A pacy script with enough commercial elements for Vijay would do wonders'.

'Though he enjoys huge  stardom, he is humble and down-to-earth. He knows his strength a lot. Vijay is a director's actor'.

The movie has over 100 artistes and all is grand and glitzy in Velayudham. I thank producer Aascar Ravichandran for giving me enough liberty. The end product is very impressive and rich'.

The movie has three leading ladies - Genelia, Hanshika Motwani and Saranya Mohan. They have equal screen space and there was healthy competition between them to give their best on screen, says Raja.

Queried whether Velayudham is a remake of Telugu hit Azad, Raja is quick to reply. He says, 'It is not a remake. I have only taken the crux from the Telugu movie and worked on a crisp screenplay.'

Vikram’s ‘Karikalan’ few interesting facts

At least two cities of Chola dynasty are being recreated for ‘Karikalan’, Vikram’s next, which is directed by special effects expert LI Kannan. “The port city of Kaveripoompattinam and the business hub Uraiyur are carefully being recreated,” informs the director.

“With the help of experts, books and technology, we are planning to take the audience to the era of Karikala Cholan, which dates back to more than 2000 years. Karikalan is like Alexander. He was brave, charming and very interesting,” says Kannan, who is excited about the project.

“I am lucky to have Parthi and Vasan as my producers. They don’t mind shelling out money as all they expect is a quality product. And I must thank Vikram, for none other than him could bring Karikala Cholan alive on screen. He is simply superb,” the director says.

“The film will set new standards in Kollywood as far as special effects are concerned. With my experience working in various movies, including Enthiran, I have been giving nothing but my best for Karikalan. Get ready for a time machine journey soon,” he concludes.

Vijay wishes ’7aum Arivu’ all the best!

Only recently Udhaynidhi Stalin, the producer of ’7aum Arivu’, said he would like to watch ‘Velayudham’ on the first day, first show of its release and expressed that the Vijay starrer should emerge successful in the box-office.
And now, Vijay has wished ‘all the best’ to the cast and crew of ’7aum Arivu’, and said he would like to see the Suriya-starrer tasting a big success. “Both of us (Vijay and Suriya) sincerely hope that both
Velayudham and 7aum Arivu should become hits. My wishes to the unit members of these two films.”

Suriya and Vijay share a close friendship for more than a decade and they had acted together in two films- ‘Nerukku Ner’ and ‘Friends’. Udhaynidhi, one of the top producers in Tamil cinema now, started off his Kollywood career by producing Vijay-starrer ‘Kuruvi’ in mid-2008.

And interestingly, AR Murugadoss, whose ’7aum Arivu’ is clashing with Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ this Diwali will soon start a film that would star the Ilayathalapathy in the lead role. “I am gearing up to work with Murugadoss after finishing work on Nanban and Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. I am thrilled about it,” signs off Vijay.

Ajith's 53rd movie with Anushka under director Siva

After pairing up with the major Kollywood biggies like Suriya, Vijay and Vikram, the Bangalore beauty Anushka is now pairing up with Ajith in the direction of Siva [Siruthai fame].

The film will be made under Nagi Reddy's banner. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the tunes.

The project will hit the floors in the early next year and in the meantime, Ajith will wrap up the shoot of Billa 2 and also complete his next with director Vishnuvardhan to be produced by A.M Ratnam. On the other hand, Anushka will meanwhile wrap up Irandam Ulagam with Arya to be helmed by Selvaraghavan.

'Mankatha' celebrates 50 days!

'Velayudham', the most awaited flick of Ilayathalapathy Vijay is hitting worldwide cinema halls on this Diwali with ' hold your breadth - over 820 screens!

Produced by Aascar Ravichandran, Vijay has two gorgeous lead ladies - Hansika and Genelia. Directed by Jayam Raja who is known for commercial dramas that cater to family audiences, according to its producer, the movie will be released with record number of prints in Kerala and Karnataka. It may be mentioned that Vijay has a huge fan following in the God's Own Country as well as in Karnataka.

"Velayudham is screened in more than 120 theaters in Kerala and roughly about 100 theatres in Karnataka", says Ravichandran.

"Velayudham focuses on important social issues besides being packaged with the signature style of mass masala elements intact which is usually associated with a Vijay film", says an inside source.

Aascar Ravi also clarified that 'Velayudham' will be releasing in as many as 40 theaters in the city ruling out the rumour that it is screened in less number of screens.

47 theatres for 7am Arivu - 38 theatres for Velayudham

Vijay's fans protest against theatre owners!

Vijay's fans are not happy these days. It is because their star is not getting enough theatres to screen his forthcoming Velayudham. The worrying factor is that even the cinema hall owners, who had signed the deal to release the movie, are not allotting big screens for him rather they are opting it for other big release, Surya's 7aam Arivu.

In their first step to protest the theatre owners' decision to sideline Velayudham, the fans staged a protest against Chennai’s Devi Cineplex's decision to allot smaller screens for Vijay's movie. A group of 100 members assembled at the theatre premises and shouted slogans against the management.

Devi Cineplex has four screens. Among those, Devi and Devi Paradise, which are big and well-equipped with latest technologies, have been allotted to 7aam Arivu. Whereas the remaining two screens - Devi Kala and Devi Bala – that are considered to be the smaller screens, have been left for Velayudham, protesters allege.

Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani starrer Velayudham is releasing in 38 screens in Chennai. Whereas, Surya and Shruti Hassan's movie 7aam Arivu is hitting the theatres in 59 screens.

Vikram's Rajapattai breaks Vijay's Velayudham record!

Vijay's Velayudham had become the talk of the town, when producer Aascar Ravichandran spent Rs 2 crore alone on the climax of the Tamil movie. Now, Vikram starrer Rajapattai has broken the record, as the makers of the forthcoming movie are shelling out Rs 3 crore on the climax part.

The climax of Rajapattai was shot recently. The production house sources, who were not aware of the record, claim that close to Rs 3 crore was spent on the final part of the Tamil movie. Vikram and Susindran were not ready to compromise on any aspect and wanted the climax to be big. Hence, without worrying on the budget, they shot a massive climax, confirms the sources.

It further confidently adds that the climax scene will be a treat for Vikram's fans. Some parts of the action scenes will have comedy elements. However, Rajapattai unit has almost completed the shooting and will be leaving to Europe to picturise a few songs on the lead stars.

It may be recalled that the climax of Velayudham was directed by Hollywood stunt director Tom Delmar. He has choreographed the mind-blowing action sequence for the movie, which is releasing on October 26.

Rajapattai, which is being made with the budget of Rs 39 crores, will mark the comeback of Vikram to the commercial movies. The Sethu star was seen in off beat films like Raavanan and Deiva Thiirumagal in the recent years.

The movie also features Deeksha Seth, Mithra Kurian, Avinash, K Vishwanath, Thambi Ramaiah and others in the cast.

Shruti Hassan to romance Aamir Khan in 7aam Arivu hindi remake

Shruti Hassan's career in Bollywood has not been fruitful so far but she is getting a golden opportunity to create a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry. Well, the actress will be pairing up with none other than Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in the remake of Tamil movie 7aam Arivu.

If reports are to be believed, Aamir Khan has recently seen the forthcoming Tamil movie, 7aam Arivu. The actor was so impressed by the movie that he immediately made his mind to remake it in Bollywood. Not only the story of the movie but Shruti Hassan's performance made him to stand up and clap for the actress at the end.

Tamil superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay has termed his upcoming release "Velayutham" a special film of his career.

Addressing thousands of his fans Saturday at the city's Poornima Theatre, where two trailers of the film were screened, Vijay said: "'Velayutham' is a special film for me. I have acted in many films which have been filled with commercial elements. You have liked my films for their quality in picturisation of songs and fights. But 'Velayutham' is one film which is focused on a issue besides being packaged with lot of commercial elements."

"You have already given a thumbs up for the audio of the film. I hope you would like the film also," he said amid cheers.

Slated for a Diwali release, "Velayutham" is produced by Aaskar Ravichandran and directed by M. Raja. The film also stars Genelia D'Souza and Hansika.

Vijay was in the city to inaugurate a store of Jos Alukkas Jewellery, of which he is the brand ambassador.

"I have come here many times, including during the launch of Kannada film 'Jogayya', which was my friend Shivaraj Kumar's hundredth film. I am very fond of my fans in Karnataka," said Vijay.

"Velayutham" is being released along with actor Surya's "7 Aam Arivu", helmed by "Ghajini" director Murugadoss. These two major Tamil films have to contend with a big competitor in the form of Shah Rukh Khan's "Ra.One", the costliest film to be ever made in the country.

Murugadoss had also directed the Hindi version of "Ghajini" with Aamir Khan in the lead, which had become a sensational hit. Now, the news is that Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh too is interested in working with the director.

Thala Ajith hospitalized.!!

Ajith has been hospitalized following a mishap that occurred on the sets of Billa 2. The star was involved in a fight sequence wherein in he was required to throw a bottle on the villain. Though this was a dummy bottle that is designed not to cause any serious damage injury, it had to be handled carefully.
When Ajith swung the bottle on the villain, he is reported to have hurt his hand and it started to bleed. He was offered first aid immediately and rushed to the hospital. The star has been advised complete rest and has been admitted to the hospital.

Jayam Raja compares Velayutham with Rajini's Baasha

Bubbly and pretty Hansika would be the second heroine in the film which also has the talented Saranya Mohan playing Vijay’s younger sister.

The film has been set to score by Vijay Antony and has been produced by Ravichandran’s Ascar Films. “As such, equal footage has been given to both the heroines. Though sparks flew between them at the shooting spot, there weren’t any verbal duel or the case of both of them looking away from each other. The ‘ego’ problem was very much there but didn’t go beyond our limit,” said Raja.

Genelia’s last film in Tamil was Uthamaputhiran opposite Dhanush which didn’t do exceptionally well at the box-office. On the contrary, Hansika is quite happy at the way her last film Engeyum Kaadhal fared at the box-office. Both the heroines are praying for Velayudham to become a super-duper hit to resurrect and sustain their respective careers.

Speaking about the film, Raja further added that but for a solitary song, the shooting has been completed. He likened the film to Rajini’s phenomenal hit Baadshah when he said that Velahudham to Vijay would be like Enga Veettu Pillai was to MGR and Baashha was to Rajini.

Vijay's second role in Velayutham

Everyone is well aware that Vijay is playing the role of a milkman in Velayudham but there is yet another role played by him in the film.

The other avatar shows Vijay as a vigilante who works to eradicate corruption. According to the sources it is revealed that Vijay’s milkman role which is set in village backdrop will be very simple but when he reaches the city his character will completely change as situation forces him to take this new avatar. Jayam Raja said that Velayudham will be a whole new entertainer and quite different from other vigilante movies like Indian and Anniyan.

Velayudham which is made with a budget of Rs 45 crore features Vijay, Hansika Motwani and Genelia D'Souza in lead roles.

படங்களை முடித்து கொடுத்து மாத கணக்காகியும் திருமண தேதியை பிரபு தேவா முடிவு செய்யாததால் காத்திருக்கிறார் நயன்தாரா.

பிரபு தேவா, நயன்தாரா காதல் ஜோடியின் திருமணத்துக்கு, பிரபு தேவாவின் முதல் மனைவி ரமலத் எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்ததால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. பின்னர் சட்டப்படி இருவரும் விவாகரத்து பெற்றனர். இதற்கிடையில், ‘ஸ்ரீ ராம ராஜ்யம்Õ படத்தில் நயன்தாரா நடிக்க ஒப்பந்தம் ஆனார். ஓராண்டு நடந்த அதன் படப்பிடிப்பு சமீபத்தில் முடிந்தது. அத்துடன் புதிய படங்களில் நடிப்பதை நிறுத்திவிட்டார்.

பிரபு தேவாவும் பட இயக்கத்தில் பிஸியாக இருந்ததால் திருமணம் பற்றி மவுனம் காத்தார் நயன்தாரா. அக்டோபர் முதல் வாரத்தில் இருவரும் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வார்கள் என்று கூறப்பட்டது. ஆனால், இதுவரை பிரபுதேவாவிடம் இருந்து திருமண தேதி பற்றி முடிவு எதுவும் தெரியாததால் குழப்பத்தில் இருக்கிறார் நயன்தாரா. இதற்கிடையில் பிரபுதேவா தனது குழந்தைகளுடன் நெருக்கம் காட்டி வருகிறார். சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன் வெளிநாட்டில் ஷூட்டிங் செல்வதாக பிரபுதேவா கூறியபோது, தானும் உடன் வருவதாக நயன்தாரா தெரிவித்தார்.

ஆனால், அவரை மும்பையிலேயே தங்கி இருக்க சொல்லிவிட்டு பிரபுதேவா தனது குழந்தைகளுடன் வெளிநாடு சென்றுள்ளார். சில நாட்கள் கழித்து சென்னை திரும்பிய பிரபுதேவா, விமான நிலையத்திலேயே குழந்தைகளை நண்பர்கள் மூலம் வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டு அடுத்த விமானத்திலேயே நயன்தாராவை காண மும்பை பறந்தார்.

இதுபற்றி நயன்தாராவுக்கு தெரிய வந்தும், அதை பெரிதுபடுத்தாமல் திருமண தேதி பற்றி தெரிவிக்குமாறு பிரபுதேவாவிடம் வற்புறுத்தி உள்ளார். திருமண தேதி முடிவாகாத நிலையில் புதிய படங்களில் நடிப்பது பற்றியும் நயன்தாரா யோசித்து வருகிறார். சமீபத்தில் மலையாள இதழ் ஒன்றுக்கு போட்டோ ஷூட் நடத்த ஒப்புதல் அளித்ததுடன் மீண்டும் சினிமாவில் நடிக்க வருவது பற்றி அறிவிக்க இருந்தார். பின்னர் அந்த முடிவை கைவிட்டார். திருமணத்தை பிரபுதேவா தள்ளி போடுவது ஏன் என்ற குழப்பத்தில் நயன்தாரா இருக்கிறார்
