Reason behind Velayutham's Success & 7Aum Arivu's Downfall

Surya’s 7aum Arivu and Vijay’s Velayutham was released during Diwali day. These two films are very much expected by all fans before it gets released. When look upon 7aum Arivu and Velayutham, it seems Velayutham to be the winner of this Diwali.

Velayutham story is very simple and is suitable for all kinds of people. The director Raja had given a masala film with comedy, romantic, fight, patriotism.. in a single story. And the starrers also very suitable for their roles. The ordinary Velayudham turning as a Superhero (look-alike)Velayudham was said in a Comical way without any buildups. Here the character demands that one who stands against evil is a Hero.

While in 7aum Arivu, it seems to be a lack of audience since it has a complex story, it is not suited for all types of viewers. The theme taken by AR Murugadoss is very big and the team has also had given full efforts. Only Thing to be appreciated is that the film governs Tamil and Tamil people. The director failed in best screenplay and it does not have enough love or comedy scenes. The character Bodhidharman is very well expressed. 

Vijay and Murugadoss start filming at Mumbai

It’s going to be BIG news for all Vijay fans. Yes, after the success of Velayudham,Ilayathalapathy Vijay has joined hands with none other than director AR Murugadoss of Gajini, Dheena, Ramana and 7am Arivu fame. 

As per sources, AR Murugadoss is shooting full-fledged with Vijay for the Untitled Project in Mumbai. It will be of romantic genre with a feel good storyline.

It’s been long that Vijay has touched a soft subject which suits him the best. Recent Docomo ad with vijay is an solid example of how the film is going to be.

Also the first look of Vijay and ARM project to be revealed soon.

Superstar Rajinikanth's Basha is back

“Naan oru thadava sonna…Nooru thadava sonna maathri” the evergreen words ofSuperstar Rajinikanth will be thundered once again from tomorrow.  Yes, Basha the mega blockbuster is re-releasing on Nov 4th 2011.

It’s expected be the Digitalized version ofBasha. So those who missed the extravaganza in 1995 can get it back this 2011.

In Chennai the film is releasing nearly in four theaters it seems. Also at Anna Theater which is located at mount road. Already its heard that banners are erected at the respective cinema halls. So Rajini fans can catch a glimpse of their thalaivar on silver screen. During diwali superstar’s special appearance as Chitti the robot in Ra one created waves among the audience.

Will that magic of Rajini be repeated once again?  

Velayutham is not Vijay's Best film

The film was a decent success at the box-office. But it is not Vijay’s best. The record set by Blockbuster Gilli is yet to be broken. Vijay’s next is shankar’s Nanban which is ready for the season of pongal. 

Vijay was accompanied by Jeeva,Srikanth and Ileana. The songs composed by Harris Jeyaraj are expected to beat down the original version 3 Idiots. Because it’s his Shankar’s film and he always wants the best.

Even in recent meetings Shankar and Vijayhas conveyed that Nanban will be a step ahead than the Original version itself. There are some slight changes made to avoid comparisons. Will Nanban break Records set by Gilli or else do we need to wait for A R Murugadoss and Gautham Vasudev Menon.

Whatever it may be Velayudham is Vijay’s comeback.

Mayakkam Enna release date confirmed

After dilly-dallying with the release date, looks like Mayakkam Enna will be released on November 18th. Sources close to Selvaraghavan aver that a decision on this has been taken now and an official announcement will follow soon. So far, the movie's release date was said to be on November 25th.

Mayakkam Enna has Dhanush and Richa in the lead with Selvaraghavan directing his brother after a long time. Scored by G V Prakash and distributed by Gemini Film Circuit, the film is supposed to have Dhanush in four different garbs.

Velayudham is No:1 in overseas market!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay has won the battle in the overseas market of UK.
His Velayudham has collected more than Suriya’s 7aum Arivu during the Diwali weekend.
In its opening Diwali weekend (Oct 26 to 30)  Velayudham  has collected Ł 1,31,413 [approx. Rs. 1.03 crores] from 17 screens, with the per screen average working out to Ł 7,730.
In comparison 7aum Arivu in its opening weekend (Oct 26 to 30), has collected Ł 1, 09,954 [approx. Rs. 85.77 lacs] from 19 screens, with the per screen average working out to Ł 5,787.
Ayngaran International the distributors of Velayudham has made it clear that it is the Diwali winner at the box-office.

Vijay and Murugadoss project update

Vijay and AR Murugadoss are all set to begin their movie together, Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli. And since it is a Murugadoss film, we can expect something very different in the action and romance department! The first look for the film was shot on October 27th and the stills if word is to be believed are hot!
The film is scheduled to begin on November 23rd and hopefully wrap up by February.Harris Jeyaraj, will be doing the music and cinematography will be handled by Santhosh Sivan. The dialogues will be written by Jayamohan who has formerly worked with Bala and Vasanthabalan in Naan Kadavul and Angadi Theru. The big question now of course is who Vijay's heroine will be. It was reported that Angela Johnson, a Kingfisher calender girl has been roped in but we are still waiting for official confirmation on this one.
