AR Murugadoss’s 7am Arivu seems to lack expectations

Surya starrer 7am Arivu came out with huge expectations, but it got a mixed response from the audience. The film touched many unknown aspects of Tamil cinema like Bodhidharma, DNA etc…

We can appreciate the efforts put on this movie. But a director like A.R.Murugadosswho got high standards should have concentrated more on the Screenplay and Music of the film. Since he has got a Big team like Red Giant Movies, Harris Jeyaraj and others. But the concentration that he has showed on researching aboutBodhidharma, leads to a lack in other functional areas of the film. It looks amateur for a director of his capacity, who gave Classic Hits like Ramana, Gajini, Dheena. Even his fans who expected a blockbuster finally sighed and felt letdown.

This movie may not be a great success, but let us hope that the next project of Murugadoss shapes out well and brings back his true identity.

Vijay’s Velayutham fabulous victory in UK & USA

On the pars, Vijay’s Velayutham is doing a fabulous business in box office not alone in Tamil Nadu but across the overseas region as well.

Vijay has no Rajini & Kamal get-ups in Nanban - Shankar

One of the most discussed topics in Kollywood right now is the supposed tribute that Vijay has paid to Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in a song sequence in Shankar’s Nanban.
Apparently, Vijay comes dressed as ‘Endhiran’ Rajinikanth and ‘Indian’ Kamal Haasan in the song, that also features Ileana.

However, a source rubbishes the report, saying, “Shankar had a good laugh reading the reports. It’s true that Vijay and Ileana come in four different get-ups in the song, but they don’t resemble any of the characters from Shankar’s earlier films. Vijay and Ileana have experimented with their looks, and they are extremely generic ones.”

Surya Refuses 2 Promote '7th Sense'.!!

First it was Vikram who declined to promote his film Nanna, now Suriya has refused to promote his dubbed film, 7th Sense. Despite repeated calls from the production house the actor does not seem to be in the mood to visit Hyderabad to salvage the dipping fortunes of his sci-fi thriller.
Producer, Subramanyam, bought the film for Rs 12 crore and the actor refuses to play ball. “His presence will boost collections but he is claiming to be busy and has sent a promotional clipping for Andhra Pradesh, leaving us with no choice other than to give up,” rues a source in the production house.
It looks like K-town stars gauge the pulse of the Telugu audience, better than Telugu stars, since they know which film will work and which will not. If it is a commercial film, they spend big time in AP, otherwise, they’ll leave it to the producers to face the music. It’s high time, producers get wary of such gimmicks before buying films for such hefty sums.

I will not watch Velayudham: Hansika

Hansika is beaming with happiness and pride, after her biggie Velayudhamopposite Vijay has been declared a hit by trade.

Where did she watch the film and pat comes the reply with a mischievous smile: “No, I don’t watch any of my films and I haven’t watched Velayudham. And I don’t think I will. Actually I am scared to go to a theatre and watch myself on big screen as I am my worse critic. But my mom watches all my films FDFS (first day first show) and gives a perfect feedback”.

On the best complement she received so far, Hansika giggles: “So many calls.. almost all my friends and well-wishers in the industry rang up to tell me that my performance and comedy timing with Vijay was cool. I read all the positive reviews that the film is getting and can’t stop thanking director Raja for giving me such a lovely role especially after Engeyum Kadhal, in which I did an ultra modern character”.

Hansika cannot stop talking about Chillax .. song. “ I shot for Chillax song on the second day of my first schedule and I didn’t know Vijay or Raja. And inspite of that, the chemistry between us rocked. In a day, we became good friends and from then on it was blast shooting for the film”.

So what next? Hansika has completed the talkie for Oru Kal Oru Kannadi with two songs remaining  to be shot. She has also signed Vettai Mannanopposite STR and two projects in Telugu are on the floors.

With her feet firmly rooted in reality, Haniska is one girl to watch out for in south.
