Which is the only tamil film that got selected for Dubai Intrnl Film festival?


The International Film Festival kicked off in Dubai in a grand manner. Interestingly the Indian film personalities hogged all limelight at the festival where Tamil movieMaidhanam was selected for screening.

Oscar winner A R Rahman becomes the first musician to be honoured with alifetime achievement award at DIFF. He is also the youngest recipient of the honour. 

South Indian directors Mani Ratnam along with Ashutosh Gowariker are the other Indians to receive lifetime achievement awards.

Vikram's Rajapattai Audio Launch Invitation stills


The Vikram starrer action flick is all set to release its music disc today (December 09, 2011). The audio will be launched today at the Anna Centenary Auditorium,Kotturpuram this evening. The film which is to be released by Gemini Film circuit has planned for simultaneous Telugu dubbed version. Since Telugu cinema fans holds a strong market for dubbed Tamil movies.

The dubbed Telugu version of Rajapattaiistitled as 'Veedinthe'. The Telugu title announcement and promotions will be made in Hyderabad today. For this Vikram, Deeksha Seth, director Suseenthiran, Music directorYuvan Shankar Raja are present at the event.

Nanban and Billa 2 most expected films of 2012: Survey Results


A popular Tamil magazine conducted a poll to find out the most expected film of 2012. Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan, Kamal Haasan’s Viwaroopam, Vijay’s Nanban, Ajith’s Billa 2, Arya’s Vettai, Silambarasan’s Vettai Mannan and Danush’s 3 were in fray to scale the first place.
Of all these films, Vijay’s Nanban reached the top spot with 1,19, 668 votes while Ajith’s Billa 2 followed it with 1,08,339 votes. Looks that these two are the hottest picks of 2012.
